Clinical Research For 16 Years

But I never lost that feeling from my first day. That is who I am.

WHO IS ASMA

I did not plan to be in clinical research.

When I first moved to the United States I was simply looking for opportunities. I started working in healthcare - finding my footing in a new country - when I stumbled upon an opening at a clinical research site.

I almost did not take it.

But from the moment I walked through those doors something shifted. I realized this was not just a job. This was work that mattered in a way I had never experienced before.

I remember sitting beside a patient in a dialysis chair. Holding their hand. Looking them in the eyes and telling them they were in good hands. And meaning every word.

That moment changed everything for me.

It is why I stayed in clinical research for 16 years. Through every monitoring visit, every protocol deviation, every late night report - I never forgot that patient in that chair. And I never forgot that behind every data point is a real human being counting on us to get it right.

I went on to become a Clinical Research Coordinator, then a Lead CRC, and eventually a Senior Clinical Research Associate monitoring Phase I, II, and III trials across Oncology, Cardiology, Rare Disease, and Infectious Disease.

Why Created

Why I Created Syncreon Research Lounge

Here is what nobody tells you when you start in clinical research.

You get the Protocol.

You get the Training.

You get the SOPs.

And then you are on your own.

Nobody warns you about the moments when you are sitting across from a confused patient trying to explain a complex procedure in simple words.
Nobody prepares you for the site visit where everything goes wrong and you have to think on your feet.
Nobody holds your hand after the training ends.

I know this because I lived it.

I remember being that new CRC - full of passion and completely overwhelmed. Given a stack of documents and expected to figure the rest out alone.

And I remember thinking - there has to be a better way.

Sixteen years later I created Syncreon Research Lounge because that new CRC still exists everywhere in this industry. She is sitting at a research site right now feeling overwhelmed and alone. He is on his first monitoring visit wondering if he is doing it right.

They deserve a space where real experience is shared openly.

Where they can ask questions without judgment.
Where someone who has been through it all will sit with them - not hand them another SOP - but actually talk with them about the real work.
